Tidy Litter vs. Natural Cat Litters

   Posted by: superuser   in Uncategorized

Let’s have a look at some of the advantages and disadvantages of Tidy Litter and natural cat litters.

Beginning with Tidy Litter:

  • It’s convenient and easy to buy
  • It’s quite heavy to carry, which means you’ve to be careful you don’t hurt your back
  • It’s not a green, planet-friendly product, and it’s not biodegradable either
  • It can enlarge to 15 times its original size, meaning it’s harder to get rid of
  • Over time, it accumulates into billions of pounds of non-degradable waste
  • Your cat will track it all over your house, particularly as it isn’t silica dust-free
  • This product has no odor-control features
  • Its texture isn’t particularly soft, which means it will be harder on your kitten’s feet
  • It’s not very well suited to multiple cat households
  • It contains toxic ingredients, so you must be careful that your cat (or any other pet) doesn’t ingest it
  • It is not very long-lasting, so you will need to make frequent visits to the stores to buy more

Natural cat litters, on the other hand, are very different:

  • They’re convenient and easy to buy
  • They don’t weigh very much, which places much less stress on your back when carrying it
  • They’re green, and also biodegradable
  • They don’t enlarge to up to 15 times their original size, making disposal easier
  • They consequently don’t accumulate into billions of pounds of non-degradable waste, clogging up landfill sites
  • They are low or no tracking, and they’re silica dust-free
  • They have super urine control properties
  • They have a soft texture, making them easy on your kitten’s or cat’s feet
  • They are very effective for multiple cat households
  • They are non-toxic, even if ingested
  • They will last longer, meaning you don’t need to buy cat litter as often

We recently looked at several brands of natural cat litter. It is really fantastic that there are now so many more choices. Previously, we were only able to buy clay-based cat litter from the grocery stores. Now there are various brands of green cat litter that are totally biodegradable. That means eco-friendly - just what we like.

Here are the new green cat litters to look for:

  • World’s Best Cat Litter:
    • Made from whole kernel corn
    • The pellets are both small and soft, so no foot injuries
    • Long-lasting freshness
    • Excellent on clumping
    • No back strain
    • Safe for all kittens
    • Very green and eco-friendly
  • Feline Pine Cat Litter:
    • Made from pine
    • Small/soft pellets
    • Back saver
    • Super-long fresh scent for days (one month or more)
    • Good for all cats and kittens
    • Urine soaks into the pine and dissolves into sawdust, very green with no need for clumping
  • Feline Fresh is the lower-cost equivalent to Feline Pine, with a very similar structure and feature set
  • Swheat Scoop Cat Litter:
    • Swheat Scoop litter is made from naturally processed, secondary (non-food grade) wheat grown in the heart of the Great Plains states
    • 100% biodegradable
    • Strong clumping, which makes for easy scooping
    • Low dust, no tracking, no silica from clay
    • Great for multiple cats
    • Excellent on odors
    • Light, easy on your back
    • Small, soft pellets

Overall, these are terrific alternative safe organic cat litters that work well for cats of all ages and sizes, making cat behavior training much easier. These cat litters are very planet-friendly and non-toxic. You’ve heard the horror stories of cats consuming toxic chemicals in their cat litter and getting sick or even dying from that stuff. Now, you have some exceptional choices that are great for the environment and won’t make your cats ill.

Please try out these new cat litters because the traditional clay-based litters cannot be reabsorbed into the ground and just pile up into billions and billions of pounds of waste. Strictly speaking, clay-based litters never biodegrade because they cannot be absorbed or broken down by the organic environment. Now is the time for natural cat litters. Tens and tens of thousands of truck loads of cat litter gets dumped in our land fills, do your part to put a stop to this, go green and use only eco-friendly cat litter.
